Activity Groups: Social Concerns

Meets the first Thursday of each month. The group is dedicated to supporting disadvantaged women, children and families throughout Bucks County with both financial help and the contributions of its members' time and expertise. Each year the group develops a list of charities that it wishes to support. In the past, the list has included Camp Discovery (for disadvantaged youths), The Homeless Shelter in Morrisville, A Woman's Place (a refuge for disadvantaged women), YMCA after-school programs and many others. Most of the financial contributions are donated through Bucks County Neighbors' Annual Silent&Live Auction which take place in November. The group is usually able to donate more than $5,000 annually to its designated charities through its auctions and the generosity of Bucks County Neighbors members.
